Freedom 250 spokesperson Danielle Alvarez joined NTD to discuss the Patriot Games, a sporting competition created by the Trump administration and organized by Freedom 250 as part of the celebrations of America’s 250th anniversary. Alvarez said sports bring Americans together, and that the Patriot Games celebrate American patriotism. One male and one female athlete were chosen from each state, territory, and some tribal nations to compete in the games.

Alvarez said the games include a military-style boot camp, with athletes doing the low crawl, tire flips, volleyball, basketball, football, and finishing the day with a tug-of-war. She said the games showcase the celebration of U.S. history while looking ahead to what the next 250 years could bring. President Donald Trump will arrive at the games on Tuesday. One female athlete and one male athlete will each win $125,000 in scholarships.
