One-way drones have proven effective on the battlefield in Ukraine, where they've targeted more expensive Russian military equipment, helping to slow Russian advances. The drones have become a common feature on modern battlefields.

The Pentagon's new Drone Dominance program aims to create hundreds of thousands of these for the U.S. military by 2027.
