Johnson said year-over-year spending is up 10 percent, and that for fiscal year 2026, Congress has spent about $735 billion—more than double what Congress spent in the first year of Medicaid expansion.

Johnson also detailed states having an incentive to not check for fraud. Johnson also discussed the rise of the radical leftist Democratic Socialists ahead of Tuesday's primary elections in Michigan and Missouri. He said it is an indictment of the legacy media, and the U.S. education system that Democratic Socialists even have a chance at winning the election, adding the media doesn't want Republicans to retain control of the House and the Senate.
