In North Carolina, the state Supreme Court has just issued a ruling forcing the state to count tens of thousands of votes that are missing crucial details, such as having no driver’s license number or the last four digits of their Social Security number on file.

This decision is especially crucial given the fact that the election in question is currently split by only about 700 votes—meaning this one decision can actually change the outcome of the race.
