Tropical Storm Humberto continued to gain strength in the Atlantic Ocean on Wednesday. It is currently located around 500 miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph, the Miami-based National Hurricane Center said. Humberto is expected to affect the East Coast of the U.S. within the next five days.

Meanwhile, meteorologists are observing a disturbance moving through the northern Caribbean that has a high chance of becoming the next "named storm" by this weekend.
