President Donald Trump and Elon Musk have officially reunited following months of a very public and bitter fallout.

Cameras caught the <a href="https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/1969872514307543522">moment</a> that Musk sat down next to the president in his private suite at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, during the public memorial service for slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The pair shook hands and appeared to engage in friendly dialogue. The president, at one point, appeared to introduce Musk to his friend, UFC CEO Dana White, who was sitting nearby.

Musk later shared an image of their surprise reunion on social media.

"For Charlie," Musk <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1969897602524328440">wrote</a> on X.

The president and his former advisor to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have been engaged in a public feud that involved social media rants against each other.

Musk had previously helped the Trump administration in a massive cost-cutting campaign to eliminate fraud and waste within the federal government, serving as a special government employee until his mandate ended.

After leaving the role, Musk publicly opposed Trump's sweeping spending bill.

Trump said he was disappointed in Musk and further accused him of going "off the rails."

Musk had <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1941997557514703294" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">questioned</a> Trump's spending package, saying: “What the heck was the point of @DOGE if he’s just going to increase the debt by $5 trillion??”

Prior to that fallout, the two spent a lot of time together and often jointly addressed the media.

During Musk's tenure with DOGE, Trump helped to promote Tesla at a time when Musk's company was experiencing slumping sales due to Musk's involvement with the Trump administration.

Musk first emerged as a Trump supporter following the assassination attempt on the president's life in Butler, Pennsylvania. He often campaigned with him and raised a significant amount of money for his campaign and other Republican candidates.

It's unclear whether Sunday's chat has reunited them for good.

But Musk later quoted the Bible and part of the Lord's Prayer on X, <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1969916554382061742">writing</a>: "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us."

The theme of forgiveness appeared to emerge during Kirk's memorial service, with his widow Erika announcing to supporters that she chose to forgive her husband's killer.

"Charlie wanted to save young men—just like the one who took his life ... I forgive him," Erika said. "That man, that young man, I forgive him."

Kirk's suspected killer was perched on the rooftop of a building with a rifle when he killed the conservative activist with a single bullet as he addressed a crowd at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for the alleged assassin.

FBI Director Kash Patel <a href="https://x.com/FBIDirectorKash/status/1969809385418555404">announced</a> on Sunday that the agency is "meticulously investigating" the assassination, including the possibility of accomplices.
