President Donald Trump has announced plans to deliver a primetime address from the White House on Wednesday evening.

"My Fellow Americans: I will be giving an ADDRESS TO THE NATION tomorrow night, LIVE FROM THE WHITE HOUSE, at 9 P.M. EST. I look forward to “seeing” you then," the president <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115730644486071082">wrote on Truth Social.</a> "It has been a great year for our Country, and THE BEST IS YET TO COME!"

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters outside the White House on Tuesday that Trump will outline the successes of his second term so far.

“It’s going to be a really good speech,” Leavitt said. “He's going to talk a lot about the accomplishments over the past 11 months, all that he's done to bring our country back to greatness, and all he continues to plan to do, to continue delivering for the American people, over the next 3 years."

In separate comments, Leavitt told Fox News that Trump will address border security, inflation, and record-low gas prices.

Trump is likely to address the deaths of two Iowa National Guard members in an attack in Syria that the U.S. military has blamed on the ISIS terrorist group.

Leavitt said Trump “completely destroyed and demolished the ISIS caliphate” in his first term, taking out some of the top leaders and members.

“If you look at how President Trump has embraced the Syrian president [and] removed sanctions from that country and what happened this absolute tragedy that took place of our soldiers who were killed that was largely because of the dereliction of duty from the last administration, and it reinforces President Trump's policy in this country now embracing a leader who he, as well, is committed to earadicate he signed on to a document right here at the White House, at the behest of President Trump to join the United States in fighting ISIS in his country,” Leavitt said on Fox News.

On Wednesday, Trump will be traveling to Dover Air Force Base to meet with the families of the fallen soldiers, according to the press secretary. The families are set to receive the bodies of Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar, 25, and Sgt. William Nathaniel Howard, 29.

The president, in his prime-time address, will also likely tout the military’s ongoing lethal strikes on drug vessels in the Caribbean, a campaign that some congressional lawmakers have strongly opposed.

Trump is also expected to speak about his ongoing crackdown on illegal immigration as federal operations continue in several jurisdictions across the country. The president <a href="https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/2001014253113802982?s=20">signed a proclamation</a> on Tuesday further restricting and limiting the entry of foreign nationals to protect the security of the United States.

Leavitt also said that the president in Wednesday's prime time speech will be “teasing” some policies for the New Year.
