On Wednesday, Romania said the United States plans to reduce American troops stationed on NATO’s eastern flank close to Russia. According to Romania’s defense minister, U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth told Europeans that they need to boost their own defenses.

Hegseth also warned of the threat posed by China's military buildup.
