The U.S.A. approaches its 250th birthday in 2026, and a full year of patriotic celebrations is set to begin.

As part of the lead-up to the celebration, the White House has launched Task Force 250 on Memorial Day. Through it, the White House plans to engage with the entire federal government, state and local governments, and the private sector, as well as non-profit and educational institutions. Organizers say the goal is to engage communities nationwide and create a renewed commitment to America's future.

The White House has also partnered with Hillsdale College to launch a video series titled The Story of America, which goes over the history of American Independence.
