Alexei Navalny, a Russian opposition leader known for his fierce criticism of President Vladimir Putin, has now received 19 additional years behind bars on top of the 11 and half years he’s already serving. Footage shows Mr. Navalny dressed in a prison uniform, smiling occasionally along with his attorneys, as the judge handed down the sentence. The court tried him on six criminal charges, two of which include what the Kremlin called inciting “extremist activity” and “rehabilitating Nazi ideology.” Mr. Navalny and his supporters deny the accusations, saying the aim of the case was to get him out of politics.
