Secretary of State Tillerson welcomes Algerian minister

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson met Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra at the State Department on May 17.

For Lamamra, it was a return to familiar grounds.

“You know, I served have here 20 years ago as an ambassador,” he told Tillerson.

“So you’re familiar with the place,” Tillerson responded.

The pair posed for photos but didn’t mention what issues they might discuss.
