Shen Yun Performing Arts concluded three sold-out performances in Changhua, Taiwan, from April 18 to 20. The mayor and other senior government officials were in attendance, and presented flower baskets to congratulate the artists for their performance. Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture from before communism, through classical Chinese dance, music and costumes.

Yao-Wen Chang, the Secretary-General at the Government Investment Promotion Agency, said: “I am full of joy. The choreography was unique, especially the combination of technology and dancing, the freshness, the animated background, and the dancers, all of which made it a very world-class group performance.”

“Shen Yun is such a great show that after watching it, I would say it's a must-see, at least once in a lifetime,” said Huang-Chi Chen, an industrial company CEO.

“A lot of effort has gone into all those details, and it's really a world-class performance,” said Wei-Nan Chen, a high school principal.

“The way they dance, the colorfulness, and the power and beauty of their dance are beyond the reach of ordinary people. It must have taken them a lot of hard training to reach this level,” said Li-Chen Lin, a company general manager.

Shen Yun showcases traditional Chinese values in their performances, and audience members said Shen Yun’s message resonates in their own lives as well as in society.

“The performance was a breath of fresh air, especially given that such a great group is committed to preserving traditional Chinese culture, for which we really have to give a very big round of applause,” said Yao-Wen Chang.

“Shen Yun highlights the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. In today's society, perhaps we can return to our true spirit of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance, so that people can come to help and care for each other,” said Wei-Nan Chen.

Ching-Chuan Chang, a consulting firm CEO, said “the performance cleanses the mind, and we need the purification of the mind in today’s society, so this is very good.”

“You really recognize your inner self, everyone knows his or her true self, what it means to be true, and when you figure it out, you are the one who really contributes to society, so watching Shen Yun really had a great impact on me. I’m grateful,” said Huang-Chi Chen.

“It brings us a very positive and upright way of thinking. Thank you very much to all the artists of Shen Yun for promoting the traditional Chinese culture. It is a pity that this traditional culture can be spread in Taiwan or the free world, but not in Mainland China,” said Chih-Kuang Chen, a construction company CEO.

Ching-Chuan Chang said, “I am very grateful for the opportunity to watch their performance and I hope that they can carry forward Shen Yun and let the world see such a good and wonderful program.”

Shen Yun will also be performing in California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and other U.S. states until May 11.
