The New York dance company showcases performances that depict themes of spirituality, a value deeply rooted in ancient Chinese civilization.
“It's not just a show coming over to show color and dance. It has a spiritual meaning and a strength that needs to be shown to others. It has its wisdom [and] the show explained it so well in how Buddhism and the light of life can be brought back to Earth and then back to heaven. I thought that was absolutely marvelous,” said Sally Palmer, the councilor of North Ward, City of Bayswater.
“I think actually, throughout all of the stories, the message was very clear. It's about kindness, compassion, and seeing beyond the value of material things like through all of the stories, that was very much what I saw,” said Nena Sorensen, principal adviser of Rio Tinto.
“It's really just humanity, stories about kindness and compassion and courage,” said Helen Fernihough, principal adviser of Rio Tinto.
“Well, I think it's all about the kindness that we should show and that was the impression I got. The kindness and also the sharing of different cultural experiences,” added Mr. Thomson
“The goodness for young people to understand. They were all good stories, but that one is a simple element, that goodness overrides everything else and I thought that was lovely. ... We all left I think as better people. I think it's wonderful. Yeah. And I really hope that you come back again,” said Ms. Palmer.
