BURGOS, Spain—The audience that attended Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Fórum Evolución on March 19 was enchanted and intrigued.
Javier Martínez Lozano, former president of Vox Burgos and an elected member of the legislature of Spain’s Castile and León region, had high praise for the way Shen Yun presents China's culture.
“It’s a very fun and interesting way of telling a story. Shen Yun does this in an educational and breezy way," Mr. Martínez said.
"It sends a very important message to Europe and the rest of the world, which in China, it normally won't be able to propagate."
Mr. Martínez said it's important to preserve traditional culture.
“I believe that one must never lose traditions. One must not let oneself be carried away by the actions of globalist people who only want to destroy the culture of each country," he said.
He added that his own region of Castile and León is also at risk of losing its traditions.
Watching the performance, Mr. Martínez said he can see how the Chinese communist regime is oppressing people in modern-day China.
“I’m left with the message of how communism is oppressing the Chinese people, and how it is not letting them express themselves, even simply through dance performances," he said.
Mr. Martínez said he would enthusiastically recommend Shen Yun. Classical Chinese dance presented by Shen Yun "is a magnificent spectacle," he added.
