“I find it to be a highly interesting show, artistically and culturally. Therefore, we must support the international growth of this show, without a doubt,” said Marco Rodríguez, the city hall councillor of San Cuatro Valles.
“To see the entire orchestra, completely cohesive with the choreography and the dancers, is truly impressive. The colors, the costumes, it’s all wonderful,” said Rafael Villafranca Mercé, a Catalonia parliament member.
“To think that even in the 21st century, China still lives under a communist regime, imposing a single way of thinking, depriving all its citizens of freedom. It is hard to comprehend, and it is serious. And this is a tribute to freedom. The show we saw today is truly a tribute to freedom,” said Manuel Acosta Elías, a Catalonia parliament member.
“What I took away from this show is the ability to convey that, no matter where you are in the world or what culture you belong to, humans need contact with the transcendent. Something beyond the physical, beyond the purely human, something that goes beyond emotions and relationships between people, something far more ethereal, more soulful,” said Jordi Guirado Cabanas, a city councillor.
“Both music and dance, along with all the costumes and the choreography as a whole, have led us, almost unintentionally, to believe that we are human beings with transcendence. We are not just a body, but body and soul. It tends to guide us toward the divine, helping us recognize that our time here on earth is temporary. And at the end of the road, when we die, we will receive the reward, or not, for all we’ve done in life,” said Mr. Acosta Elías.
“I think people have to see it because it’s an expression. Art is a way of showing that art can lead to many values and can transport us to new paths which in the end is tolerance, respect, and freedom,” said Mr. Villafranca Mercé.
