“It’s incredibly rich! This is a beautiful world! It’s a vision that inspires a sense of longing,” said Tian Wenmin, a former associate professor.
“This kind of performance is unique to Shen Yun. The entire lighting and stage design are truly outstanding,” said Chung Yonghsiang, a school founder and principal.
Lin Junming, a company chairman, said, “Seeing Shen Yun express Han culture and traditional Chinese culture through dance in such an elegant way is truly remarkable. To achieve that level of elegance in performance requires inner cultivation. I think that is something very difficult to accomplish.”
“Flawless. I truly admire them and give them a big thumbs up,” said Han Siwei, a company chairman. “I watched it five times last year, and in fact, I plan to watch it five times again this year.”
Liu Yihong, a hospital director, said, “I was deeply moved. The dancers, the musicians who performed the music, and the scriptwriters all came together in what felt like a perfect combination. Each dancer’s technique blends classical elements, martial arts, and dance in a remarkably skillful way.”
“I think for our modern society, being able to present China’s five thousand years of culture through a performance like this is truly rare and precious,” Mr. Liu said.
Wang Meijuan, a business owner, said, “It was very powerful. To me, it felt gentle yet strong at the same time, conveying a sense that justice cannot be suppressed. That left a particularly deep impression on me.”
“The Chinese Communist Party has no reverence for the Divine,” Mr. Han said. “It does not even tolerate the Divine. Everyone should withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party. One day it will eventually collapse. I believe Shen Yun expresses its protest against the Communist Party in a gentle way, and in every piece I can see the deeper meaning within it.”
Audience members also praised Shen Yun’s music and digital backdrop, feeling the connection between the artistry and the messages of kindness.
“The resonance was actually quite strong, because I haven’t seen a program like this in a long time,” Mr. Tian said. “My biggest takeaway is that by improving oneself, we can naturally influence the people around us to move in a positive direction. In today’s world, that is truly something rare and precious.”
Su Tianmu, a biotechnology researcher, said, “Seeing these dancers present such an excellent side of themselves, we believe they must have spent a great deal of time practicing to achieve this level. Personally, I was quite moved. I even told my daughter that she should learn from them, because only through effort can you present your best self.”
“I think the music was quite powerful, especially its smooth flow and overall grandeur. It was very moving to me. And of course, it was even more impressive when paired with the dance,” said Lin Zhengxiu, a clinic director. “They complemented each other very well.”
“The conductor was able to capture every movement on stage with great subtlety and precision,” Mr. Liu said. “I truly admire them for dedicating all their heart and effort to something so beautiful, and for conveying such profound meaning. The entire digital backdrop, the visuals, the coordination from every angle, and the music all worked together so well. I can only describe it as perfect.”
Mr. Han said, “I recommend that other citizens of [Taiwan] who haven’t seen it, or even those who saw it last year, come and see it this year.”
