“This show is a truly beautiful and extremely elaborate production featuring dancers of great elegance, with lots of color and magnificent choreography,” Agnès Brasseur, a corporate director, said.
Chantal Susini, a regional finance director, said, “The performance was truly fantastic. It was magical, with all the talent and poetry one could hope for in a classical dance performance, and some truly fantastic scenes.”
“It’s amazing, especially with all those special effects. Honestly, I had a really, really good time,” Philippe Martin, a construction manager, said.
Ms. Susini said, “I’m swept away by emotion when I see the beauty of the movements, the precision, the work behind it. When you see the dancers practically flying, when you see them as if the dancers had wheels under their feet, it’s something that transports you, you can’t remain unmoved by all of that. It’s a lot of emotion in any case, and a lot of pleasure.”
Ms. Brasseur said, “On the one hand, it’s very spiritual but on the other hand, it’s also very down-to-earth with its entertainment, costume changes, magnificent colors, and truly beautiful costumes.”
Based in New York, Shen Yun has been touring the world since 2006, and has since grown to eight equally large companies.
Ms. Brasseur said, “We really do need shows like this to show us that they, too, can present us with magnificent things. And then, to also learn about history, the history of China, both earthly and divine.”
Ms. Susini said, “This group has immense talent. I’m discovering them for the first time here in Aix, in a venue that’s quite iconic for Aix-en-Provence, which I’m also discovering. And honestly, we want to come back because seeing it once is great but we want to see even more.”
Ms. Susini added, “I encourage everyone to come see this show, because it makes us reflect on our inner selves and the best we have to offer. I think there are really a lot of positive things in this show.”
