Mae Claire Locke, a branch manager at IPC, said, “Oh, we love it. We’re really enjoying it.”
Lindsay Locke, an entrepreneur, said, “So diverse and especially the song in the middle there with the pianist and the baritones.”
Ms. Locke added, “I love the costumes. The absolute acrobatic ability is phenomenal. Something else, something to witness.”
Nathan Morgan, a construction project manager, said, “That was fantastic. Some of the shocking things were, they came out of the screen. You didn’t expect that. It was actually unbelievable. It felt impossible.”
Amie Roussel, a dance teacher, said, “I can tell that they have so many years of training. There was not a misstep or a misspeak throughout the whole show. It was such a different version of classical dance that I am used to. It was so enlightening and so beautiful, very, very exquisite and just so full. I just thought that the movement and the choreography was more fulfilling for me.”
“What a big mission, and what big, big shoes they have filled ... A very strong story. I was very, very, very touched by it. All the colors and a lot of the different elements of media that we’re showing really helped us to sell the message. Just that dance is divine, and that it was so beautiful to see it shared,” Ms. Roussel said.
Nancy Lo, a project accountant, said, “I think it’s really important, because it’s like a lost art. It’s completely lost. The young people now don’t understand it, and I think that it would be really good for society to understand it and just to bring back the roots and the history and the culture and everything.”
Shen Yun has been touring the world since 2006 and celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. However, Shen Yun currently cannot perform in China due to the Chinese Communist Party’s suppression of traditional culture and persecution of faith.
Mr. Morgan said, “The stories were very moving, I thought, very educational. And I think a lot of people would find a lot of meaning in them. So the relationship with the government and how people were strong and how people had inner strength was the most vivid part. It’s good for people to be aware of what’s happening around the world, and it shows people’s strength. It’s good to see people’s strength. The younger generation will see what inner strength can do for themselves and their future.”
Ms. Lo said, “It’s my fourth time here, and every time I think it’s amazing, the visuals, the music, and everything. Yes, I would definitely come back again.”
