“It was a fantastic performance. So athletic, and the costumes are beautiful, and we know that the ones that dance and sing, they're all beautiful people,” said Bob Plaisted, the mayor of Inverness, Florida. “We're very excited that you all do what you do and introduce us to the old Chinese culture, which we love, and we don't care for the new Chinese culture.”
“It's very impressive. The amount of detail that goes into it, and the coloration and the mix between computer generated and live action is impressive,” said Gordon Mullen, a scientist.
“Performance is fantastic, and that really gives tremendous cultural insight, as well as to the current struggle of the people of China to live free, as well as practice the religion of their choice,” said Alan Frey, a former business owner. “The orchestra is simply tremendous, the way they blend the Western music along with the Eastern sounds.”
“Chinese culture has been more of the modern Chinese culture with communism and a lot of the older Chinese culture has been destroyed or rejected,” said Jonathan Sorensen, an IT security professional. “So you don't really see much of anything of the traditional Chinese culture, even in modern media. So it's good to see this and to learn more about other cultures.”
“The modern world needs a little saving. We need to go back and sort of respect the values we used to have,” said Charles Sinlock, a technical expert for the U.S. government.
“If you haven't been out to see it, you definitely need to put it on your bucket list, because this is a really good show,” said Gary Kolar, a business owner.
“As the mayor, I can say that I came to this show, and I think everybody should come see it,” said Plaisted. “You are doing a fantastic job. ... it attracts a lot of attention to what you're trying to bring forth to the world. So keep up what you're doing, it's a great way to do it.”
