In attendance was the former vice president of Argentina, Carlos Ruckauf.
“I think this show is artistically excellent,” Mr. Ruckauf said.
Mr. Ruckauf also served as the Argentinian minister of foreign affairs, as well as being twice elected to the Argentinian National Assembly following the restoration of democratic rule.
He said he was mesmerized by New York-based Shen Yun's artistry.
The dignitary said the performance and its story are well worth seeing.
“I believe it is very important in today's society, and also, much more important in China,” he said.
Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture and values from "China before communism."
This culture was almost lost when the Chinese Communist Party took power in 1949.
He said that minorities who want to live in freedom “always have these problems” under totalitarian regimes.
