Fort Smith Convention Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas, welcomed Shen Yun Performing Arts on March 19. Audience members said they were impressed with the skill and artistry of the performers.

“The dance is terrific. You can tell there's been a lot of practice and a lot of talent up on the stage. It's beautiful,” said Dustin van Cleave, who is a former ranch owner.

“It's an amazing performance that not only gets inside of you and stirs you up but it also allows you to feel like you're levitating,” said Steve Jackson, who is a senior account executive.

“Costumes were very colorful, gorgeous, just ornate. And the variety, a large variety, was always something new. They were beautiful,” said Heather Neal, who is a hospital pharmacist.

“The unique and impressive dance movements, the flawless musicianship ... there was a lot of precision there. I appreciate that,” said Eric Neal, who is a forester.

Shen Yun aims to revive traditional Chinese culture, showcasing its beauty through classical Chinese dance, music, and storytelling. Audience members praised Shen Yun and said ancient China's cultural emphasis on living in accordance with universal morals remains important for today's society.

“I think the performance reaches into your heart and you feel really good because you empathize. It has a faith dimension to it, and I think that's a really good thing because the world needs that today,” said Terry Gallamore, who is an investment advisor.

Shen Yun sends “a message of standing up against oppression and finding internal peace and enlightenment,” Neal said.

“I think it's a very good mission, and hopefully worldwide, more and more people come out and get to see what that was like,” Gallamore said.

Shen Yun will be performing at the Cheyenne Civic Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on March 25–26.
