Shen Yun Performing Arts kicked off its 2026 world tour in Amnéville, France, on Dec. 18, drawing audiences from across France and neighboring countries, including Germany, Luxembourg, and Belgium. Audience members reported feeling transported by the beauty of traditional Chinese culture presented on stage.

Konstanze Hoellermann, the director of a company, expressed her fascination with the performance. “What they are doing, how they are doing [it], what kind of body language they have,” she said. “It’s really incredible to watch all of this.”

Georges Fichet, an osteopathic physician, highlighted the dancers’ technical mastery. "These are extraordinary feats. You can sense an excellent level of physical control, supported by a high degree of technical skill.”

Former acrobat Sofiia Smirnova described the performance as both visually and emotionally uplifting. “It’s really something very striking, very harmonious. It relaxes the mind and is pleasing to the eyes. It’s good for morale, very positive,” she said. “The music and the movements—everything feels magical. It’s pure energy. "

Account manager Arnaud Gauducheau said the show exceeded his expectations. "It was my Christmas gift from my wife,” he said. “We had truly wanted to see this show for several years, and we are completely captivated. It’s extremely beautiful and very poetic.”

"Having live music really adds a magical, fairy-tale quality,” Gauducheau added. “The stories that are presented are always benevolent."

Independent director and managing partner Jens Hoellermann noted the profound impact of the performance, saying, "Seeing these artists performing gives a sense of elegance, a sense of harmony."

Konstanze Hoellermann expressed deep admiration for the performers, saying, "We are feeling the passion of all the artists, how they are doing it, with all the love.“

Audience members from across Europe said Shen Yun’s portrayal of traditional Chinese culture left a lasting impression, inspiring them to reflect on personal growth and values.

"It helps us understand that we need to take everything in life more lightly, more naturally—less aggression, more love. To rise higher, not to stay at low, negative levels,” Smirnova said. “I think we need to evolve, to transform into something beautiful. Just like this performance. It’s so, so good. I love it."

"We think definitely that all parts [of the show] can show and teach us how to conduct our future maybe a little bit better,” Konstanze Hoellermann added.
