Jens Willenbring is a financial broker and owner of an insurance agency. “It was very nice, a successful combination. I've never experienced anything like it. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was very colorful, very entertaining, diversified. And of course, I would love to come again if it comes back next year,” he said.
“I'm fascinated by the acrobatics, by the expressiveness of the dancers. At the same time, there's this great three-dimensional scene in the background with all these effects. That is something really special,” said consulting company owner Peter Grethler. His wife Marina Grethler agreed: “I can only agree with that. I think it's only WOW! I find it terrific. The acrobatics, the dancers with their delicate steps, the dresses. It all fits in with the culture. I just have to say this. Absolutely superb!”
Astrid Bonewitz is a monument preservation artist and architect. “Astonishing. Very, very beautiful. Really elegant. It goes straight to the heart,” he said.
“China is a country with a very long cultural tradition, which is wonderful. And it is of course a shame that this can no longer be experienced directly in the country today. [Shen Yun artists] should never give up hope that one day you might be able to perform in your home country,” said Willenbring.
Audience members also said they felt inspired by the spiritual messages in the performance.
“[The tenor] touched me very much. Because he sings that we are heavenly beings. So we come from heaven and now we're here and have to rethink our karma. And I think it touches me and makes me reflect,” said Christian März. He is the managing consultant of one of Germany’s top IT procurement service providers.
“I would like to thank all the artists, for putting on such a great program on stage, in this perfection, in this quality. But I would also like to thank them for conveying this message. After all, all these artists live in exile. It's not even possible in their home country, to deliver such a message. And I would like to thank them, to all the artists for taking on this mission and for bringing this message across,” said Röstel.
