“Very impressive. The synchronicity of the artists, these fluid movements. It’s truly beautiful and impressive,” said Isa Hantzsch, a financial advisor.
Paul Hantzsch, an actor, said, “The precision, the group leadership, it’s truly magnificent. We were genuinely impressed. The orchestra, the musical accompaniment, it was a truly impressive experience overall. I’m so happy we pulled it off.”
Andreas Hart, a real estate consultant, said, “This is a different kind of ballet. Very synchronized, very physical with the jumps, and the performance as a whole is very beautifully choreographed down to the smallest detail.”
Ms. Hantzsch said, “These fluid movements in this dance style, there are no jerky movements, it’s all flowing like water. And in combination with the costumes, that’s what I found most impressive.”
Karl-Heinz Meyer, the director of the Order of the Nobility Organization, said, “It was simply a divine world, just as the name [Shen Yun] suggests, where people can convey so much grace, so much beauty. The atmosphere is captivating, and the whole thing, combined with the technology, the stage design, and the performances, was simply enchanting. I can only recommend that anyone who has the opportunity should see this show. Take advantage of it. It’s simply fantastic.”
Mr. Meyer said, “These values are incredibly important, and we can never be reminded of them often enough. This doesn’t just apply to China; it applies to all of humanity. We are currently experiencing a decline in values, and highlighting these values is a mission we all must embrace.”
Mr. Hantzsch said, “I particularly liked the ending with the spirituality aspect, the fact that it dares to address such things again and bring these traditional values back into our modern world. I think we can all agree on this point that it’s something that has definitely been somewhat lost in today’s world. And it would certainly do people good to reconnect with the earth and help some find themselves in this way.”
“Classical Chinese dance is simply different from European dance. It embodies more of Chinese culture. It reflects the Chinese need for freedom and movement through dance. And it also possesses a great deal of athleticism, which has developed historically. It essentially shows the Chinese people’s desire to express themselves, both physically and mentally, and how they experience life,” said Jürgen Kliche, a business consultant.
Mr. Kliche said, “In summary, I really enjoyed Shen Yun. It’s a very action-packed and colorful show that wonderfully portrays and explains historical China. And I think, as a spectator, I was also impressed by the athleticism and acrobatics, as well as the history conveyed. I particularly liked the spatial technology used, the virtual techniques employed, which embody a very modern form of theater. And the seamless transition to the real world, without any noticeable media breaks, is truly an outstanding stagecraft, I must say.”
“That was truly something special. I’d never seen anything like it before. We were both particularly impressed by the precision with which the actors connected to the set design, as if they were walking into and out of it. I honestly don’t know how they did it, whether there were precise markings, but it was really fantastic. It was truly magnificent,” said Mr. Hantzsch.
Mr. Meyer said, “I am incredibly grateful to have experienced this. Our seats were so close [to the stage], we could almost have joined in the performance. All I can say is, come and see it, it’s unbelievable. It’s not just a simple theater. It engages all the senses; it’s unique. The only thing missing is the sense of smell. Otherwise, everything is provided, and it’s a true delight. I highly recommend it.”
Mr. Kliche said, “First of all, I would highly recommend seeing it for yourself. No matter where in the world Shen Yun performs again. And secondly, I would say it’s an experience. It’s an intellectual experience, it’s a theatrical experience, and it makes you proud, I must say, that people can create something like that.”
