Shen Yun Performing Arts gave a sold-out performance at the Metropol Theater Bremen in Bremen, Germany, on the afternoon of March 12. Audience members praised the company for its superb artistry in conveying traditional values and spiritual themes.

“The music, the performers, the whole piece expressed so much. I must really say it was overall very, very, very beautiful. I couldn’t really look anywhere else the whole time. Very impressive,” said Ilka Piechowiak, a business owner.

“I find it quite amazing when the performers step out from the backdrop. It lets you tell the story in a more layered way. This combination of modern media technology with traditional dance and movements, values, and culture. I think that is very beautiful,” said Uwe Theophil Dlugosch, a consulting director.

Michelle Joy Goldmann, a technical product designer, said, “It’s all beautiful. I love the dance with the long sleeves the most. It’s just so flowing and elegant. It’s hard to describe. It’s like a dream. I always get goosebumps.”

Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture from before communism, through classical Chinese dance and music. The performance also gave audience members a sense of hope and direction.

“I find it very touching when these old values are preserved and passed on. If you didn’t do this, they would be forgotten,” said Mr. Dlugosch.

Axel Richter, a business owner, said: “It gives hope that things will continue, and that humanity will find its direction again and say, okay, this is what we want, we support this, we are part of it.”

Ms. Goldmann said, “You can’t describe it. You simply have to experience it yourself. What is presented here is incredible. It’s incredibly beautiful.”

“I hope they will continue to hold fast to their beliefs and share them with the world, because they bring immense hope to the world,” said Mr. Dlugosch.

Shen Yun will perform in Frankfurt, Germany, from May 2 to May 4.
