On April 11, Shen Yun Performing Arts took audiences in Dortmund, Germany, on a journey through ancient China. Audience members welcomed the performers with warm applause and were in awe of the artistry.

Leena Kammertöns, a company export advisor, said, “It was just incredibly beautiful. It was so wonderful. This lightness, gracefulness, interplay of technique, and these dances and stories that go with them. Just incredibly beautiful.”

“The movements of the dancers, everything is so fluid, so harmonious. The colors, the music, the soprano, and the singing also impressed me very much,” said Holger Bueter, a project manager. “I thought the whole performance, the way it was presented and staged, was really beautiful.”

“The sequences, the music, the movement, the interaction with the background, I found it all very impressive. I’ve never seen anything like it before,” said Martin Rehmet, a head of lean management.

Shen Yun simultaneously tours the world with eight companies, dedicated to reviving China’s 5,000-year-old traditional culture and values. Every season, Shen Yun presents an all-new program including original dances, music, and costumes.

“I thought the choreography was great. I thought the costumes were great. I thought the performance was great. I thought the athletic performance was simply fantastic. I really enjoyed it,” said Roland Nüsse, a physician. “I think it’s beautiful. I think it’s good that you can present something like this to an audience in Germany. Their culture is actually foreign to us. I really liked it, it impressed me.”

“With this ancient culture, which was so closely connected to this belief, it was so important for people to believe in the gods who came from Heaven to Earth,” Ms. Kammertöns said. “And then these dances express that through dance. It was simply beautiful.”

Shen Yun will be performing in Stockholm, Sweden, from April 19 through April 21.
