“The show was excellent! You don’t usually see this kind of performance. It’s fluid, it’s graceful, and it’s incredibly well put together. And the music, there are no words for it. I’ll tell you, you don’t even realize the orchestra is right there, it feels like a soundtrack, but it’s perfect, just absolutely perfect,” said Jacques Stroobants, a musician.
Celine Bellon, a marketing manager, said, “I really like it. The dancing is delightful, the music, costumes, sets, and special effects are magnificent. It’s truly enchanting, and I’m discovering Chinese ballet for the first time.”
“I also think the costumes are dazzling and the dances are very lively. It’s truly a feast for the eyes and ears,” said Lilian Mourey, an IT program director. “I’m really excited about the myths portrayed through these dances. I honestly didn’t expect them to have such cultural significance.”
“You can clearly see from their expressions that it’s not just about technique. There’s definitely something spiritual, something divine, in their performance,” said Fethi Merad, a surgeon. “You can really feel it, you can really feel the power, you can feel all those hours of work. I’m in a line of work that demands a lot of hard work. I can see the effort, and in what I’ve seen here, I can feel the hours of training and discipline.”
Thierry Poux, an operations executive for RTAP, said, “Yes, traditions are being lost. And this whole process of telling our entire story is important; these are things we tend to forget. So this is great.”
“You can’t look away. You’re totally captivated by the stage and by everything that’s happening,” said Mr. Stroobants. “So, you almost need to come back a second time to see it all, to see everything again.”
