Reviving 5,000 years of tradition and beauty through classical Chinese dance and music, Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage of Nantes on Feb. 22, leaving the audience moved by China’s divinely inspired culture.

Eric Gaudicheau, a former nuclear energy logistics manager, said, “I can’t find the words to describe it. It really touched me, a lot. I’ve loved China since around 1973. Honestly, seeing this, there are no words to express it.”

Aurélien Francheteau, a Telecommunications R&D engineer, said, “You can see that [divine art] is the main theme. The characters in the stories fly. There are many colors. I believe these are the celestial colors that were inspired by the divine Chinese culture.”

Lydie Laigre, a Human Resource manager, said, “The show is truly beautiful. We are drawn into the stories. The dances are stunning, and the costumes are exquisite. It is genuinely very, very beautiful. We are completely immersed in the stories.”

Audience members praised Shen Yun’s beauty and artistry, in which they felt serenity, well-being, and happiness.

“The show is impressive. I was very struck by the colors and the dances. It’s magnificent. It’s truly quite spectacular. And it’s the same for the 3D images behind. The way the dancers dance and project themselves into the screen is quite impressive. It’s rather stunning,” Mr. Francheteau said.

“Fabulous! The show is meticulous, and truly fabulous. Bravo. It must have taken a tremendous amount of work. I would say it’s breathtaking,” Mr. Gaudicheau said.

“The actors are always very calm, with many smiles. They smile a lot, and you can feel the enthusiasm. You can sense the kindness and joy that radiate through the different dances,” Mr. Francheteau said.

“Truly, the performance brought tears to my eyes,” Mr. Gaudicheau said.

“I feel more serenity, well-being, longing, and tranquility. I would say it brings a certain calmness. That would be the word I choose: calmness,” Ms. Laigre said.

“It allows us to meditate, to see beautiful things, and to project ourselves towards happiness, towards a picture painted by beauty and dance,” Mr. Francheteau said.

“Honestly, it’s a show that you must see, that’s for sure. But for me to describe it is impossible. You have to see it. You have to see it to believe it,” Mr. Gaudicheau said.
