MURCIA, Spain—On March 29, the Shen Yun Performing Arts World Company brought its final two performances in Murcia to a triumphant close at the Auditorio Víctor Villegas. Both the afternoon and evening shows had been sold out for more than three months, drawing full houses and an atmosphere charged with anticipation. As the curtain fell, audiences rose to their feet in prolonged applause, calling the artists back to the stage for three curtain calls.

Ahead of the evening performance, Virginia Martínez García, a regional deputy from the VOX parliamentary group, formally recognized Shen Yun’s artistic achievements and cultural mission. She personally presented a letter of recognition to company representatives, commending their dedication to reviving and sharing the richness of traditional Chinese culture.

In her letter, Ms. Martínez García praised Shen Yun as both an artistic and cultural endeavor of rare significance, highlighting its ability to transcend boundaries and reconnect audiences with a civilization spanning five millennia.

The full text of her translated proclamation reads:

"Some experiences are not only to be watched but must be felt in person. I have had the privilege of attending Shen Yun twice—it is an uplifting artistic feast, radiating a unique brilliance that transcends culture, language, and generations.

"When the gongs sound and the curtains rise, what we face is not just a performance, but a gateway to 5,000 years of Chinese civilization. This cultural heritage is reborn before our eyes, expressed with a beauty that touches the soul. Shen Yun, meaning ‘the beauty of divine movement,’ leads us on a journey that combines the grandeur of classical Chinese dance, the skill of world-class artists, and the emotional power of timeless stories.
"Every movement, every leap, every turn is a flowing poem. The performance carries us from the imperial courts of the Tang Dynasty to the vast Mongolian steppes. All of this is accompanied by a world-class orchestra, blending Eastern and Western instruments to create music that can be both heard and felt.

"Yet Shen Yun’s significance goes beyond technical perfection and stunning visuals. It is a cultural revival, bringing back traditions that were nearly lost over decades, and which continue to face suppression by the Chinese communist government. Thanks to the dedication of the performers and supporters, we are able to witness this art today. They remind us that culture is a bridge connecting humanity, even when history tries to destroy it.

"Shen Yun’s performances are unforgettable: they invite us to transcend everyday life, open our hearts, and let profound, spiritual, and luminous beauty transform us.

"When the lights rise again, we are no longer the same as when we entered. We have traveled, experienced emotions, and gained new insights. This is the true power of art.
"May Shen Yun continue to illuminate stages and hearts around the world; may its messages of freedom, tradition, and humanity continue to resonate; and may we, as audience members, continue to safeguard and celebrate the most precious core of civilization—culture, history, and spirit.”

The evening performance marked a resounding conclusion to Shen Yun’s engagement in Murcia, as well as a triumphant finale to the company’s 27-performance tour across seven cities in Spain. With every show sold out, the tour left a lasting and memorable impression on audiences throughout the country.
