Shen Yun Performing Arts dazzled audiences at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida, on April 28. Audiences commented on the high level of artistry displayed within the performance.

“Just the opening number, the costumes are just amazingly beautiful from beginning to now to the intermission. So I thoroughly enjoy just beautiful costuming,” said Vennia Francois, an attorney.

“It’s an amazing culture, and it’s an amazing memory today for my soul,” said Giovani Balderrama, a notary public.

Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture from before communism, which resonated with many of the audience members.

Jeff Jacobson, a real estate business owner, said, “We absolutely need to get back to our traditional cultures, our traditional norms. So yes, the message is amazing.”

Ms. Francois said, “I think it’s very important, because if you don’t know where you come from, historically, you will not know where to go futuristically. So I think it’s great to blend both worlds.”

“It was a little bit of a history lesson and a really, a real appreciation of the ancient dance, the ancient arts, the old music and everything, and then the connectivity to all of us coming through through the end with the stories,” said Mr. Jacobson. “We are all connected in this world. And I think that Shen Yun really helps that message that we are all connected.”

Mr. Balderrama said, “If anybody hasn’t seen this show, it is the opportunity to see Chinese culture and the reality of the perfection of the arts.”

Mr. Jacobson said, “So I can’t say enough about how important this is. I wish I would have seen this years ago, but now that I have, I just really want everyone to come. And see the show.”

Shen Yun will be performing in Chicago, Illinois, on May 2 and May 3.
