Ross Richardson, a certified public accountant, said, “above and beyond, top notch. We enjoyed it so much last year that we had to come and we brought my mother ... Just wonderful.”
Kirk Milhoan, a pediatric cardiologist, said, “[The dancers] are incredibly graceful. It seems like they weigh like five pounds, and you don’t hear them at all as they run across the stage. They move very quickly, and their heads never move. So it’s actually beautiful to watch. I think my mouth was open many times.”
“Very, very impressive. I admire the artistry. The acrobatics and the artists and the way they move, the presentation of the show. And the graphics depiction on the screen is very impressive as well,” said Ronnie Johnson, a project control lead.
Mr. Milhoan said, “I think it’s very important to get the message out in every way. And this is a beautiful way to get it, because I think people think they’re just coming for a show, and then they start to learn all these horrendous things that are happening around the world. So there are people who make marches and there are people who make speeches, but Shen Yun is doing a whole different way of bringing light to a horrendous thing in a beautiful way.”
Kimberly Milhoan, an anesthesiologist, said, “It’s a beautiful mission. It makes me sad to know that a show like this can’t be seen in China. So I appreciate that they’re sharing this culture with us."
Audience members expressed their appreciation of Shen Yun’s efforts.
Mr. Milhoan said, “It’ll be something that pleases your ears, and your eyes will be in wonder, and you’ll feel very, very relaxed as you get to see this beautiful thing. But also be challenged to work on how we can to stop the oppression that’s happening.”
Ms. Milhoan added that “I recommend seeing it. The costumes are lovely, the music is lovely, the dancing is lovely. The acrobatics are effortless.”
“Thank you, thank you for the inspiration and the beauty,” said Mr. Richardson. “Thank you.”
