Shen Yun is “the most beautiful form of art I've ever seen,” Ms. Jaffe said, describing the performance as a 10 out of 10.
“They are incredible. I think they're top-notch performers. The women are so beautiful. The clothing is just so pretty, and I really love the male dancing,” she added.
“I think it's an amazing event here in Sacramento, and maybe in all of California,” Ms. Gusina said.
Arthur Jue, an entrepreneur and chairman of the board at Meriwest Credit Union, said the performance was well-coordinated.
“Love the music and live orchestra,” he said.
Architect Deana Morad also enjoyed the performance.
“It's exquisite,” she said. “It's original: a very unique approach to present the ideas.”
Ms. Morad added that “the feelings, the emotions, the thoughts were not written; they were presented through actions—you understand and there was no need for narrative.
“People were able to present it, and that speaks of the choreographer. Being a choreographer, it's a tough job.”
Since its New York founding in 2006, Shen Yun has been on a mission to revive the traditional and divinely-inspired culture of ancient China and share it with the world.
Ms. Jaffe said, “I really think deep down inside, it's a message of wisdom and beauty.”
“My first time here,” Mr. Jue said. “I'd say come and enjoy it. It's a great experience, and you'll have a great time.”
