“It was very peaceful. The music was wonderful. The performance and the abilities of the performers were just outstanding. The stories were really, really good,” said Joe Hidalgo, a business owner.
“It’s an amazing performance. I had no idea what to expect and the way they do the graphics and the scenery and going in and out looks like it’s just live. So it’s amazing what they do,” said Noel Chambless, a business owner.
“I very much enjoyed the music. And I’m not sure I’ve seen some of the instruments that were used tonight. That was a treat,” said Joe Delong, a senior engineer.
“That’s horrible that that’s happened, but I’m glad that they’re doing good work to revive it. It’s amazing how the music and the dance kind of brings out the spirituality,” said Joseph Dai, a physician. “It’s a very deep and fulfilling and moving experience.”
“The touching part is that we are connecting with something that’s bigger than us, with God, with something that’s beyond us, that seems eternal, and we want to believe, we want to hope,” said René Zwahlen, a company president.
“This show definitely communicates to a lot of us that have never been to Asia, never been to China, what it’s truly all about. Not taking a look at what is in China today, not looking with China today, but China in the past, in history, the traditions, the real China,” said Mr. Hidalgo.
“I would encourage [the performers to] continue on, because I know that the program receives a lot of challenges from external forces that would not want you to do this. And I would just say, keep on doing it, because it’s good, it’s strong, it’s very positive,” he said.
