"It's lively, it's bright. It's very visual. The music is lovely. The whole ensemble feels very good," said Luigi Coronato, the former head of the Italian Consulate in Manchester.
“I think everybody feels ... quite uplifted throughout the whole thing. The blaze of color, the energy level was so nice. Just a wonderful, friendly feeling,” said Stephen Howard, a former company director.
“To have a mission like that and drive toward that and share that with the world is fantastic,” said Mr. Howard. “For it not to be able to be shown where it originated is a little bit sad isn’t it.”
“I think culture is really important. And to make sure that it stems within everyone it's really important. And I think they did a really good job of that,” said Tesneem Alfrashed, a marketing coordinator.
Audience members rated the performance highly, and said no matter where you are in the world, you should not miss out on seeing it.
Mr. Coronato added that “each person will go away with something different. They may find the show just a lot of fun, athleticism, and lovely storytelling. Some others may find deeper meanings within each story. It depends upon the individual, basically.”
Mr. Howard also added that he thinks that Shen Yun “is something that everyone should try and see in their life, if they could, wherever they are in the world. If you ever have the opportunity, even if you never do it again, although I think you will want to do it again.”
