“It was a real eye-opener and a great performance,” said Kuo Tzu-Chien, a well-known Taiwanese comedian, host, and actor. “The backdrop and the dancers worked flawlessly together. Perfect, just perfect.”
“I've heard a lot about Shen Yun for a long time, and I'm glad to see it for the first time today,” said university professor Tu Wu-Ching.
Ho Thi Cam Van is the founder of a Vietnamese clothing company. “The show impresses me in so many ways every time I watch it. I must say, it keeps surprising me, with a very high level of artistic quality, bringing a performance that I find meaningful and very valuable,” she said.
“Each movement has enough strength. They are either gentle or strong at the right moment. Judging from their artistic skills, I believe the dancers are very well trained and they make an excellent team,” said Liang Hui-Mei, an artist and assistant professor.
“In a regular show, it's good enough to see 3 or 4 performers moving in synchronization. But with Shen Yun, there were 12 or even 15 dancers on stage performing in total sync. I was really touched by this,” said Kuo Tzu-Chien.
“My mom really liked it. She said, ‘It's so beautiful! So beautiful that it's beyond imagination.’ That made me so happy that I cried in the darkness while in the theater,” said Ho Thi Cam Van.
“I feel like I'm getting a bit closer to the divine,” said Cheng Fen, the creative leader of a brand advertising agency. “Each performer is like the incarnation of God, the messenger of God. Through their body language, or their music, or every individual performer themselves, they are actually trying to convey their message to everyone in the audience.”
“Apart from its aesthetic value, Shen Yun has an edifying nature, showing us the need for kindness, a message of truth, goodness and beauty, and I was most touched by this aspect of the show,” said Liang Hui-Mei.
“Shen Yun is telling the stories purely through dance, which is very rare and unique. Without any speech, we knew what the dancers were expressing with their movements and expressions, and this was very touching to me,” said Kuo Tzu-Chien.
“I felt deeply moved by the way each individual, through his or her own dedication, accomplished the performance as a group. This creates strength within me,” said Cheng Fen.
