SYDNEY, Australia—Professor of law and foundation dean Augusto Zimmermann said Shen Yun Performing Arts is one of the best performances he’s seen as he stepped out of the company’s matinee on March 26, at the Sydney Lyric.
“It was absolutely amazing, one of the best shows I have ever watched in my whole life,” Mr. Zimmerman exclaimed.
“It’s teaching us the history and culture of the Chinese people, and also, unfortunately, the sufferings that they have to endure at this very moment.”
Mr. Zimmerman was especially moved by the artists’ depiction of heaven and traditional Chinese spirituality.
“It really changed me, it made me very emotional,” he shared.
“I think it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever experienced in my whole life, especially when the singer was connecting the whole culture with the Creator, and the importance of the Divine in our lives. That really touched my heart a lot, and I felt very emotional about what I watched. It was fantastic," he said.
Reflecting on reported threats made against Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the theatre at the time of the artists’ arrival in Australia, Mr. Zimmerman stated that such challenges only reinforce the need to “overcome evil with good.”
“I wish all the actors all the best because they are doing the right thing. They are making our lives much more exciting as a result.”
The show was “unforgettable and magnificent, and I will never forget what I have watched.”
