On March 29, Shen Yun Performing Arts brought 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture to the stage at the Bridges Auditorium - Pomona College in Claremont, California. Audience members said they felt hopeful after seeing the performance.

Tom Steele, a business owner, said: “It was an amazing storytelling event, the music, the action, the performance of the actors, was awesome. I really appreciated the spiritual overtones of the entire performance. It was so meaningful. I had no idea that there was that much culture and history coming from the Chinese people. It just renewed my whole faith in the world, thank you.”

Audience members were also amazed by the 3D backdrop Shen Yun uses in its performances.

Greg Nowling, a company partner, said: “I like how they integrate that. It makes the experience watching the show even that much better, because you incorporate that animation into it.”

Erwin Gramajo, a business owner, said: “I like the design, the custom, all the digital effects. It's a very enjoyable hour that we've been sharing with my wife.”

Traditional Chinese culture and values find their roots in the divine, which Shen Yun showcases through classical dance, music, and storytelling. Theatergoers praised Shen Yun’s efforts to share it with the world and took note of a deeper message.

Doug Hatch, a hospital chaplain, said “I think that overall, the message of kindness, freedom was very positive, and hopefully something that we could see more of in society.”

Kieu Hatch, a business owner, said: “You guys did an amazing job, 100 percent beautiful, wonderful. And thank you for your courage to perform and to keep the culture and to keep the message of freedom alive in your spirit.”

“Shen Yun performers are a class without peers. They have no equals anywhere in the country, with their performances, with their talent, with their dedication, with their energy,” said Ken Benesh, a former member of the U.S. Air Force.

“I more than highly recommend that you come to this and see it. It's worth every bit of the time that you spend, because you'll never see a show any better than this,” said Joe Babineau, a former business owner.

Shen Yun will be performing at the Marion Oliver McCaw Hall in Seattle, Washington, from April 3 through 6.
