Shen Yun Performing Arts was met with a full house and warm applause in Valencia, Spain. Audiences said they were enchanted by the beauty of Shen Yun’s artistry on March 12.
“[Shen Yun] makes it seem as if the Gods themselves are coming down from their palaces to the earthly world and involving all the spectators," said Rubén Marin Soriano, a professional dancer and dance instructor.

"With that choreography, that dance, that color, that voluptuousness with those silks, those long sleeves, it really is surprising how they capture it and how they transfer the Divine, the celestial, to the earthly,” Mr. Soriano said.

“You can see that the dancers have technique and training, both in classical dance and in traditions, such as folklore. Really wonderful. That mixture, that fusion that they achieve with the traditional, with the contemporary, and that staging, make it one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.”

Rafael Soria Alcaide, an engineer, said he found the variety of styles and costumes in each performance exciting.  "I understand that it’s partly due to the cultural diversity within China,” he said.

Cristina Gutierrez, who is an architect, said: "I loved it, I found it very different, very special. The colors, the lights, the dance, the music, the instruments were all so unique. I really loved it, very beautiful.”

Five thousand years of Chinese cultural heritage and values come to life in Shen Yun’s performances, communicated through classical Chinese dance, music, and storytelling.

Pilar Blasco Segura, who is the head of hospital pharmacy services, said: “What truly moved me was how, with such simplicity, they can tell such deeply human stories, full of emotion, and often very tragic, but with happy endings of transformation, where love triumphs, loyalty triumphs, staying true to one’s faith, to one’s principles, and defending what one believes in.

"Those moral values that sustain a lifetime, and with such simple movements, yet also that incredibly complex choreography that seems so effortless, just like in life," she said.

“I think [traditional values] are very important. They always have been, but it seems that nowadays, speaking about ethical principles, moral principles, and religious principles is not something widely shared. And this is a wonderful way to share it with the audience. You leave with those messages resonating inside you, and then each person can take it to their own level.”

Carolina Sánchez Margareto, a lawyer, said the performance's elements, such as the colors and music, are connected to the senses. "I think that, in the end, what you’ve created with the visual and musical performance has touched many people’s hearts, and that is always wonderful,” she said.

Shen Yun will perform in Sevilla, Spain, from March 18th through 20th.
