Lauriane Buonomano, a lawyer, said, “I find it magnificent, very beautiful. I had already seen images online. What I hadn’t realized was that it was truly telling a story. It’s very thought-provoking, and you can’t really grasp that through the media.”
Maurice Vinçon, a former theater director and actor, said, “I was visually moved by it. I think the ensemble work is of very high quality. Beyond their technical performance, the dancers have remarkable precision. It’s truly beautiful on that level.”
“This is top-level quality here. It’s a pleasure to see such a talented generation express themselves so well on stage,” said Nadia Danet, a company executive.
“It came as a surprise to us. We knew about the Cultural Revolution and everything that had happened, but we were surprised to learn that even recently, there have still been persecutions of people who practice this kind of philosophy,” said Jean-Pierre Gimond, a former business owner. “It’s very important to remember what our ancestors did, to bring it back into the present, and to talk about it. It’s extremely important. Ignoring history, or trying to erase it, is a shame. It’s not right.”
Ms. Buonomano said “It’s actually a message that feels good to hear, one we appreciate hearing. It’s true that we don’t hear much anymore about those kinds of virtues, or about the divine.”
“It’s the first time we’ve seen this show. It’s rich in color and rich in culture as well. I find it absolutely wonderful. It’s a feast for the eyes. It’s truly magnificent,” said Eric Farcy, an engineer.
