Shen Yun Performing Arts successfully wrapped up the first five shows of its 2026 world tour in Amnéville, France, on Dec. 21. Some of the audience members had traveled from across northern France and neighboring countries, including Germany, Luxembourg, and Belgium to see the show.

Many attendees also said they were deeply touched and mesmerized by New York-based Shen Yun's stunning portrayal of traditional Chinese culture.

“I was so moved, thinking about China, and those young dancers on stage gave me an incredible feeling,” Martine Siméon, a former department head, said. “I never thought it would be this captivating, beautiful, and magical. The dancers weren’t just walking or dancing, they were flying!

“Sorry, I’m so moved,” she said, holding back her emotions. “It’s magnificent! Truly extraordinary! It’s such an intense, emotional moment, full of grace, beauty, music, and emotion. I’m enchanted. It’s heaven.”

Samir Boussouf, a company director, said, “The show was amazing! We were absolutely delighted by the performances. We came as a family with our kids after seeing a short commercial on TV that made us want to check it out. We’re truly amazed by the dancers’ skill, and of course, the harmonic orchestra was incredible too.

“They are able to perform high up in the air as well as on the ground. In other words, they move seamlessly between the two. They move through the air as effortlessly as they do on solid ground,” she said.

Actress and painter Sonya Dziabas said, “There is a lot of harmony, a lot of kindness, a lot of gentleness, and a lot of enthusiasm too, because everything is done with passion. You can feel that Shen Yun is imbued with great creativity, professionalism, and passion.”

Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese civilization and culture, allowing audiences around the world to experience “China before communism.” Many of the audience members said the performance conveyed a powerful and uplifting message.

“It’s a show like no other. On top of everything we’ve seen—the elevation, the beauty—it’s almost transcendent,” Ms. Siméon said. “What’s even better is how it stays true to the traditions of ancient China and really celebrates grace.”

“I felt this connection with God, because the show also talks about God. God who came to Earth, God who is among us, God who is already spreading among us in the world. And I am a believer, so it touched me,” Ms. Dziabas said.

“We feel that they’re sharing a message of love and peace. The world really needs that, and I think this is their way of expressing the kindness and peace we wish for everyone, everywhere, every home, every family, and all around the world,” Ms. Boussouf said.
