Erik Jalliffier Verne, a former general administration director, said, “A lot of emotions. I wasn’t quite expecting this kind of show, which is very much about Chinese traditions and civilization. It’s refreshing.”
Jean-Etienne Bescond, a former university department director, said, “The show is very beautiful. The atmospheres are very beautiful, the special effects are magnificent. But what I really liked was the orchestration, a fluid, perfect orchestration, apart from the fact that the dancing is also magnificent. The whole show is really well done, well realized.”
Jean-Pierre Canard-Duchêne, the former CEO of Champagne Canard-Duchêne, said, “All the dancers are magnificent, they’re so supple. I can imagine how many hours of rehearsal and work go into this.”
Françoise Canard-Duchêne, the wife of Mr. Canard-Duchêne, said, “Very beautiful, very beautiful. Yes, it’s very beautiful. We thought it would be like that. So, it’s perfect. The dancers are airy and they are really very smiling. And this, it is nice and there’s a good atmosphere. Bravo! It’s a lovely show.”
“Yes, the artists are very, very good. They really dance together. It’s rare to see coordination like that. The acrobatics and performances are quite extraordinary. And there’s a lot of color,” Mr. Bodard said.
“The artists are, I think, top-notch. So are the musicians; I think they’re top-notch. The dancers are really extraordinary. I really liked the precision of the dancing, the effects in every gesture. The precision is really incredible. Including when they’re thirteen together. It’s true that the lead dancers run the show well in a way,” Mr. Bescond said.
“The message that’s being propagated, we can see, is benevolence, and also the messages we get about totalitarian regimes, which are important subjects, clearly. We can only agree with these messages, for sure,” Mr. Bodard said.
“I believe that the relationship with divinity is fundamental. Of course, it is,” Mr. Verne said.
“Yes, yes, the show can bring something really positive to those who will want to think about it, and who will also take the time to watch the show and appreciate the message it delivers, of course,” Mr. Bescond said.
They say Shen Yun represents the real values of China which they defend as well.
“That’s good, that’s good, yes, that’s the real values of China, the values we defend as well,” Mrs. Canard-Duchêne said.
“Yes, it’s good because we have to refer to the past,” Mr. Canard-Duchêne said.
