Shen Yun Performing Arts captivated nearly 7,000 audience members in Toulouse, France, on the second day of its tour in the culturally rich city. Theatergoers in Toulouse described Shen Yun’s beauty as ‘almost supernatural’ and praised the show’s spiritual message of love and humanity.

Jean-François Dallet, a doctor, said, “Extraordinary! I’ve never seen such choreography, and such harmony between the videos, the music, and the dances. I leave here captivated by this performance.”

Sylvie Cabral, sustainability strategy and offer manager at Aeroline, said, “Oh, this show is truly magnificent! There are so, so many colors. The costumes are extraordinary. I absolutely loved it.”

Alexandre Legrelle, project manager at Airbus, said, “The choreography is very elegant and impressive, and you can feel all the hard work behind it. It’s truly a wonderful moment spent.”

Gilles Descamps, a departmental council official, said, “It’s almost unimaginable. It’s almost supernatural, really. The leaps, the pirouettes, the harmony among everyone.”

Audience members said their Shen Yun experience was a wonderful combination of both serenity and energy, along with a deeply felt connection to the Divine.

“I feel energy, lots of energy, and indeed, a touch of serenity and calm as well,” said Ms. Cabral.

Antoine Mouchot, a profit center manager, added, “And power too, and it’s wonderful.”

“We feel energy, bursts of energy—every now and then like fireworks to either tickle us, wake us up, or give us a fresh push, a new … something new. It’s indescribable! For if you’ve never seen it, you can’t understand what you’re missing out on, really. It’s an afternoon of serenity and so much love.” said Mr. Descamps.

“It gives such serenity, leading us toward what we call the ineffable. And I believe the Divine lies in that realm beyond, and it is through inner contemplation, some personal reflection, that we can indeed touch upon what we might call the ineffable or the Divine,” said Dr. Dallet.

“Truly, this connection with the beyond, with the Almighty, and with that inspiration was truly, truly exceptional,” said Ms. Cabral.

“I appreciated seeing a certain coherence between Eastern and Western beliefs on the relationship with the Divine,” said Mr. Legrelle.

Audiences also praised Shen Yun for showcasing, in their own words, “great humanity” in a chaotic world.

“I believe that what you have brought through this culture should encourage all those who attended this performance not only to take delight in its artistic aspect, but also in reflection and introspection. The world is too chaotic to do without Shen Yun,” said Dr. Dallet.

“I also appreciated the showcase of the distinction between China and the Chinese regime. To love China and at the same time to criticize or give a distanced look at the current government, all while proposing values that could perhaps unite everyone,” said Mr. Legrelle.

“The show brings kindness and good values, unlike what we experience today,” said Mr. Mouchot.

“A great humanity, we felt a great humanity in this performance,” said Ms. Cabral.

“So, you must come, you must come at all costs to enjoy this afternoon and share all the energy that this youth brings,” said Mr. Descamps.
