NORTHAMPTON, UK—Richard Radwell, an engineer, saw Shen Yun Performing Arts on Jan. 21 at Royal & Derngate.
“Absolutely superb. First impression was stunning, just as the curtains opened—lost for words, instant amazement! The colors, the dress, the performance, absolutely stunning. This is what I call a show,” Mr. Radwell said.
“You go to so many things, and maybe it doesn’t meet your expectations, but this is absolutely amazing. There is a story behind it, a moral story, which I think the world needs to listen to, and on every level, absolutely amazing. I couldn’t rate it higher, to be honest,” Mr. Radwell said.
“It exceeded my expectations, and the performers themselves clearly work very hard. You don’t achieve that excellence without effort. There’s a lot of time, a lot of effort, a lot of thought, and to produce a show every year that’s different is absolutely amazing,” Mr. Radwell said.
“There’s an energy which runs through us all. I genuinely believe that energy is love, and it goes throughout the world, through everything. This is a story of love. You’ve got to admire this story, you’ve got to admire the people that perform. You’ve got to admire the people behind the scenes because it is a story of hope. The world needs a little bit of hope in a big way,” Mr. Radwell shared.
“The transition from the animation to the stage is phenomenal. I hadn’t really understood how that was going to work, but absolutely … Coming from animation into reality with such effortless transformation. How did they do that, especially when one guy just changes his appearance in a split second. It’s almost like, hang on, did I actually see that?” Mr. Radwell exclaimed.
