Albert Markov, a classical musician and composer, said, “This is the highest level, this show; it’s unbelievable, it’s unbelievable. I enjoyed it so much here. The show was acrobatic, unbelievable. And the dancing, unbelievable.”
“You guys have beautiful music to start with. I always know the performance will be amazing, just because of how hard you work on every single detail,” Olga Borsh, a singer, said.
Shea Gregg, a surgeon, said, “I’ve been to a lot of shows on Broadway. I’ve been to a lot of shows across the world actually, and to see the orchestra sync so beautifully with the dance, it’s almost like it’s a recording but given that it’s live. It is stunningly beautiful.”
Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture.
Mrs. Borsh said, “It is divine dancing. It is bringing the beauty of China without any other layers put on. I think you’re doing an amazing mission.”
Mr. Gregg said, “The tenor was incredible. I’ve practiced voice for years but to see a tenor on stage with that amount of control, bringing such powerful words, it’s just breathtaking.”
“Very strong tenor. Very powerful. In fact, I did not just listen, I felt what he was singing. I think for musicians that’s most important, because a lot of people can just hit notes and sing the melody. But to express and deliver the message of the song, I think that’s what it’s all about,” Mrs. Borsh said.
Mr. Rothenberg said, “I would definitely recommend it and tell them to go out of their way to see it. It’s really wonderful.”
“I would definitely suggest they come and see it. You have to see it live. You’ve got to see it and be within the dancers and the stories,” Mrs. Borsh added.
