Smuggling Cartels Make up to $6 Billion Yearly: DHS

As the number of illegal border crossings surges to the highest level in two decades, smugglers are making a huge profit. A senior homeland security official recently told Congress that cartels and others involved in related criminal activities can earn up to $6 billion per year.
