The trial date for former President Donald Trump’s Washington, D.C. case has been set for March 4, 2024—a mere 6 months away, and just one day before Super Tuesday. How much time does that give Mr. Trump’s lawyers to go through the defense material?

For the Georgia case, it appears increasingly likely that Mr. Trump will seek to have the case heard in federal court—where he may be able to claim immunity from state prosecution for actions he took as president.

NTD spoke to William A. Jacobson, Professor at Cornell Law School, for his analysis of the cases.
