Supersonic jets preparing for takeoff by next year

New supersonic jets will break the sound barrier and people will be able to get to their destinations in half the time.

Blake Scholl, the CEO and founder of Boom, spoke about how supersonic jets are shaped differently,”Totally different shape, the wings are different, they are sort of triangular in shape, it’s called a delta wing. The fuselage is shaped very differently it’s a very dynamic flowing shape, it’s a little bit bigger up front, a little bit smaller in the back. The engine intakes are completely different, the engines themselves are pretty similar but in front of the engine there’s something called an intake, which is like an adaptor for supersonic flight; it takes oncoming, twice the speed of sound air and then compresses it, conditions it, and feeds it to the engine in a most efficient manner.”

Supersonic jets will fly higher and faster than current airline jets. Their unique design will allow them to travel through the air with renewed ease and speed.
