The Supreme Court says Nestle and Cargill can’t be sued over child slavery on cocoa farms in Africa because even though they provide the farms with all kinds of resources in exchange for exclusive access to the cocoa, technically they don’t own them. The ruling means it’ll be harder for overseas victims to sue U.S. companies going forward.
