A graduate student at Washington State University named Bryan Kohberger was arrested in his home state of Pennsylvania on Dec. 30 in connection to the brutal murders of four University of Idaho students. NTD spoke to Marc Ruskin, a retired FBI special agent and former assistant district attorney in Brooklyn, New York, for analysis on the prosecution that lies ahead and the investigation that led to Kohberger’s arrest. Ruskin said that the fact that there were multiple murders involving a knife and heinous acts meets the threshold for a first-degree murder conviction. Ruskin also said that it’s better for the investigation to be carried out in a meticulous manner and apprehend the right person than rush it, in light of Moscow police being criticized for taking as long as one month and a half to locate a person of interest.
