The Trump Organization on Monday unveiled its name-brand mobile phone and wireless service, marking the family's latest business venture.
Donald Trump Jr., the president's eldest son, cited the "lackluster performance" in the mobile industry as the reason for jumping into the business.
Dubbed Trump Mobile, the network will offer 5G service to customers through a flagship "47 Plan," a subscription of $47.45 per month. The price references President Donald Trump's first and second terms in office.
The announcement comes on the 10-year anniversary of the launch of Trump's first presidential campaign.
"We're going to be introducing an entire package of products where people can come and they can get telemedicine on their phones for one flat monthly fee, roadside assistance on their cars, unlimited texting to 100 countries around the world," he said at Monday's press event at Trump Tower in New York.
The Trump Organization touted the plan as having "unbeatable value" for the "nation's hardest-working people."

DTTM Operations, the entity that manages Trump trademarks, has filed applications to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to use the brand name and term "T1" for mobile services, phones, accessories, and retail stores.
T1 Mobile will use the Trump name under a trademark license, similar to other business ventures in which the brand name is licensed to third parties.
The line of brand name products also features a new T1 phone that will be offered for $499 with a $100 down payment.
The phone, in Trump's signature gold color, will operate on the Android 15 system. It features 256 gigabytes of internal storage and 12 gigabytes of RAM storage, according to the website.
It also includes AI face unlocking, an internal fingerprint sensor, a USB-C port and 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The phone will be available in the fall and is already available for pre-order.
The phones will be made in America and customer service centers will be established in St. Louis, Missouri, according to Eric Trump, the president's second eldest son and executive vice president of the Trump organization.
"It's about time to we bring back products back to our great country. And it's about time we disrupt this space," he said.
The move aligns with Trump's push to manufacture more goods in the country instead of abroad. Nearly all smartphones are manufactured abroad, mostly in China.
Despite the soaring popularity of American tech brands such as Apple, the United States lacks major domestic smartphone production infrastructure, mostly because of high labor costs, supply chain complexity, and reliance on overseas component sourcing.
The Trump Organization's latest mobile business venture has sparked some ethical concerns about Trump's personal business interests.
"This latest move raises more questions than answers," according to Paolo Pescatore, TMT analyst at PP Foresight. "As always the devil is in the detail given that it is unclear around the actual commercial relationship with the telecom players and so forth."
While the Trump family's business ventures initially focused on real estate, it has branched out to the tech sector in recent years. In 2021, it launched social media platform Truth Social. The Trumps also launched crypto venture World Liberty Financial in 2024.
